After another shocking launch from the favourite Bezzecchi, the start seemed like a repeat of yesterday. Today Acosta getting the lead out of the first turn from Marini, Aldeguer, Fernandez and Rin’s. And again Bez falling into 8th place behind Marc but ahead of Alex. Marc with some late braking made it to seventh from 9th but his teammate Bagnaia, bouncing as he tried to launch and sitting well behind even before the first turn.
Things were looking to settle a little when in turn 7, Bezzecchi, trying to pull out of an extremely late dive down the inside of Marc, had to straighten up his bike and unfortunently clipped the rear tyre of the World Champions Ducati. A crazy 4th gear, over 200km/h crash. Bez just way too aggressive in trying to regain positions and then unable to get it stopped with a full tank of fuel. Initially it looked ok, but then Marquez hit the gravel, dug in and flipped violently, landing hard on his shoulder. In the replay, it appeared that Bez also ran over Marc’s left foot while he was sliding. He immediately looked in pain and was incredibly slow to get up while cradling his right arm. Later, after a medical, they confirmed that he fractured his collarbone and will travel straight to Madrid for surgery.
Bez also in for a Medical. He himself losing control of his Aprillia in the gravel trap and rolling into a flew flips himself. A disappointing day for the clear favourite, and the curse of Mandalika continues for Marc who is still yet to finish a Sunday here.
Yellow flags cleared and it was time for Alex to make a aggressive move on Honda HRC’s Joan Mir, which he forced and took the 7th position. By Lap 2, Binder was the big winner so far and already up 6 places to 9th. Rin’s also getting a move done on Fernandez.
Just before the end of the first 2 laps, Joan Mir losses the front while trying to keep up with Alex.
Lap 4 and the front 4 all setting fastest laps as the pace really increasing with everyone now knowing they have a chance. Aldeguer the making a clean pass into the fast left hander of turn 12 and stealing 2nd away from Marini.
Acosta then setting the fastest lap but still Aldeguer was all over him and took the lead into turn 10. Aldeguer then setting the newest fastest lap and giving himself an immediate buffer back to Acosta.
Ohh Bagnaia! An unusual last corner crash as he loses the front and sits on the track after sliding in disbelief. Waving his hand and looking more baffled than angry. Could make his season into a pretty dramatic movie without having to add anything. He was well behind in last place, even Chantra well ahead, if that gives you any idea of how bad things are.

Marini on lap 10 with great pace and finding a way through on the fading Acosta, but Acosta wasn’t ready to lose second and took it back in the next corner. A fair mixture of tyre choices between the lead riders is making for interesting strategies.
Aldeguer already 2.5 seconds ahead of Acosta. His last lap blisteringly fast, 1.2 seconds faster than Marini in 3rd.
Bastianini then retiring after a shocking weekend and 3 crashes. Down to 14 riders left. P9, P10 = Pramac Yamaha. P11, P12 = VR46. P13, P14 = LCR Honda.
Lap 15 and Fernandez with a super aggressive move on Marini, pushing both wide and allowing Rin’s and Alex through. Marini getting stuck on the dirty side of the track and ending up back in P8.
Insanely consistent times in the fast 1.30’s from the rookie up at the front has him constantly extending his lead as the others fight it out behind. 6.5 seconds lead from Acosta on lap 19/27.
Alex Rins whose had a shocking season at Yamaha in 2025, then getting past Alex Marquez and Acosta for 2nd. Quartararo sitting in 6th.
Acosta sitting millimeters behind Rins for 3 laps then getting duked by Alex with slipstream. Alex then flying past Rins on the straight, Acosta also taking the slipstream and getting back into 3rd. Rins on the edge of his soft tyres now going wide often, allowing Fernandez and Binder through.
Binder then continuing his great run and finding a way past Fernandez for 4th. Gresini 1 & 2, KTM 3 & 4.
Wow it’s getting worse for poor Rins, now so wide he allows Quartararo through. 2nd to 8th in 1 lap. Jack Miller then crashing and losing any of his good efforts with 3 laps to go from a respectable P10. Remounting and finishing in P14.
Acosta with 3 laps to go has not given up yet and made a move stick on Alex. His medium front probably helping at this late stage of the race. Marinin meanwhile getting through on Fernandez.
And there you have it, Aldeguer absolutely dominating by as much as 9 seconds, brings it home for his first MotoGP win and the first rookie to win since Jorge Martin in 2021. Acosta holds off Alex Marquez for a well fought 2nd but having to see his rival Aldeguer clinch a win while he hope KTM will improve and give him that chance.
Great points and another podium for Alex Marquez. Binder with his best result of the season by far in 4th. Marini rescuing a deserved 5th. Fernandez gutted with 6th when Aprillia looked to best all weekend. Quartararo the lead Yamaha in 7th (clearly still serious tyre degradation issues at the Trident squad). The home Pertamina Indonesai liverly for VR46 getting limited limelight in Morbidelli P8 and Diggia P9, really not making any progress all race.
